Table Mountain Cape Town

Moving from Cape Town to London

Somehow, over the last few months, I decided that I was a bit too comfortable in my Cape Town bubble. I decided that it was time to challenge myself and take myself out of my comfort zone. I decided that I was going to move to London.

Honestly, to make the actual decision of moving wasn’t too hard. I just thought one day “ok, why not. Let’s do this”. Then I actually had to act on that decision to make things happen. That was the hard part.

Getting my visa required A LOT of time, money and admin. In the end, I went through an agency. You totally can apply for a visa without an agency, but I really wanted to get my visa quickly with as little admin as possible, so an agency was the way to go. (Also, the agency very nicely gave us a discount because both my sister and I were going through the process of getting our visas.) For anyone wondering about the whole visa process, I’ll do a separate post on that because it’s a long story!

This is me saying byeeeee to Cape Town for now.
